bbPress: Tick "Notify Me of Follow-Up Replies" by Default
Pre-ticks the subscription checkbox on new topics and replies, so members get email notifications about their own discussions unless they opt out.
Opens WPIDE on
Code
if ( ! function_exists( 'bbp_is_subscriptions_active' ) ) {
return;
}
add_filter( 'bbp_get_form_topic_subscribed', function ( $checked ) {
// Only pre-tick when creating, not when editing an existing post.
if ( bbp_is_topic_edit() || bbp_is_reply_edit() ) {
return $checked;
}
return checked( true, true, false );
} );Notes
Members can still untick the box; existing subscriptions are not changed.
