if ( ! function_exists( 'bbp_get_title_max_length' ) ) {
    return;
}

$wpide_bbp_title_length = 120;

add_filter( 'bbp_get_title_max_length', function () use ( $wpide_bbp_title_length ) {
    return $wpide_bbp_title_length;
} );

Notes

Very long titles can break forum layouts on phones; 100 to 120 is a sensible maximum.
