Snippet Library
Snippets that make WordPress easier for everyone to use: skip links, focus styles, better link text and fixes for common accessibility issues. For site owners who want a site that works with keyboards and screen readers.
Adds a small floating accessibility button that opens a panel with larger text, high contrast, highlighted links, a readable font and a reset option. Choices are remembered on the visitor's device.
Styles buttons from one brand color and picks black or white text automatically based on how light the color is, with matching hover and focus states, so button text always stays readable.
Adds a Tools > Contrast Checker page where you pick a text and background color and instantly see the WCAG contrast ratio and whether it passes AA and AAA for normal and large text.
Makes buttons, focus outlines, icons and custom checkboxes stay visible when visitors use Windows High Contrast or another forced-colors mode, where many themes lose borders and icons.
Adds a "High contrast" checkbox to each user's profile that switches the dashboard to dark backgrounds, white text, yellow links and strong borders for that user only.
Makes the keyboard focus indicator in the WordPress dashboard thicker and higher-contrast on links, buttons, menus and form fields, so it is easy to see where you are.
