Archives Widget: Yearly Links and a Limit
Changes the classic Archives widget to list years instead of months and caps how many entries it shows, keeping the sidebar short on old blogs.
Snippet Library
Widgets snippets for WordPress
Snippets for widgets and sidebars: restore the classic widget screen, register new widget areas, remove default widgets and allow shortcodes in text widgets. For classic themes and sites that still lean on sidebars.
Recent Posts Widget Includes Custom Post Types
Makes the Recent Posts widget list your custom post types, such as portfolio items, recipes or events, together with blog posts.
Register Extra Widget Areas
Creates additional widget areas, such as a shop sidebar or a blog sidebar, that you can fill under Appearance > Widgets and place with a shortcode or theme hook.
Show Widgets Only on Certain Page Types
Adds a "Show on" setting to every classic widget, so you can limit it to the homepage, single posts, blog and archive pages, or everywhere except those.
Widget Area Above Single Posts
Registers a "Before Post Content" widget area and shows its widgets at the top of every blog post, ideal for notices, ads or a table of contents widget.
