Code

add_action( 'template_redirect', function () {
    if ( ! function_exists( 'is_cart' ) || ! is_cart() || ! WC()->cart || WC()->cart->is_empty() ) {
        return;
    }

    if ( wc_notice_count( 'error' ) > 0 ) {
        return; // Stay on the cart so the shopper can fix cart errors.
    }

    wp_safe_redirect( wc_get_checkout_url() );
    exit;
} );

Notes

The classic checkout does not let shoppers change quantities, so they return to the product page to adjust their order.
