Comments snippets for WordPress
Snippets for WordPress comments: fight spam, close comments on old posts, remove the website field, change the comment form and moderate faster. For bloggers and publishers who want useful discussions without the noise.
Remove Links From Comment Author Names
Shows commenter names as plain text instead of links to their websites, removing the main reward for comment spammers.
Send Comments With Links in the Name Field to Spam
Marks comments as spam when the name field contains a web address, a classic trick of spam bots.
Send Comments With Too Many Links to Spam
Marks a comment as spam when it contains more links than you allow, catching most link-dropping spam before it reaches the moderation queue.
Stop Turning URLs in Comments Into Links
Keeps web addresses typed in comments as plain text, so spam links are not clickable.
Strip HTML From Comments
Removes all HTML tags from comments submitted by users who are not allowed to post unfiltered HTML, so links and formatting cannot be injected.
